What to do in Plymouth


Plymouth is a small coastal town with plenty of attractions for visitors. There are many historical sites situated throughout the town as well as museums, restaurants, parks and cafés. There is also an excellent nightlife scene with numerous options available after dark.

Tourist Attractions



If you enjoy maritime wonders, stroll over to the area's marinas to get a look at the British Navy ships and naval artefacts. The Plymouth Pavilion is a good place to bring the whole family. It provides sports facilities, cafés, bars and an ice rink.

There are numerous options for history lovers. The Plymouth Museum and Art Gallery, otherwise known as the Drake Circus, is a great family day out. Buckland Abbey is also worth a visit. It is now a popular visitor centre but was once home to Francis Drake. Barbican Glass Works survived the bomb attacks it experienced during World War II and has therefore become a popular sight.

There are many places to go in the evenings in Plymouth. These include the cinema, theatre, live music venues, pubs, bars and clubs.
